With the spread of the pandemic in the country, certain individuals, financial institutions, NGOs, private and public bodies have shown that everyone needs a little kindness by giving out money to the public, supplying palliatives, contributed to the building of isolation centers and other means of sustenance to help spread hope and keep the country together. One beautiful thing about people making a difference this trying time is that corps members are not left out as they have also proved to be an integral part of the economy by giving back to the country in their respective states
A department in the NYSC scheme which is called Skill Acquisition & Entrepreneurship Department (SAED) made a lot of impact by allowing corps members with the knowledge of some certain skills to help the nation. WAR VETERANS BENEFIT FROM CORPS MEMBER’S PHILANTHROPY
Corps Member Unogwu Comfort FC/19B/9657, has donated different categories of foodstuffs comprising rice, tubers of yam, beverages and clothes to the inmates of Green Hero Foundation, Abuja. The donation was made to empower the old veterans prior to the lock down directive of the Federal Government to curtail the spread of the dreaded COVID-19.
CORPS MEMBERS PRODUCE HAND SANITIZER
Corps Members in Oyo State have started mass production of hand sanitizer through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) of the NYSC. The sanitizers which would be distributed to hospitals and different communities within the State will prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
CORPS MEMBERS TO CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF COVID 19
Corps Medical Personnel serving at General Hospital, Oraifite, in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State fully briefed; and on standby to be deployed for the containment of the spread of COVID-19 in the State as part of their National Service.
The personnel are fully observing the safety- first admonition of the Director-General.
CORPS MEMBERS PRODUCE FACE MASK IN NASARAWA
Production of face masks by trained (SAED) Corps Fashion Designers in Nasarawa State with the intention of donating them to Nasarawa State Government as NYSC’s contribution to the fight against Corona Virus.
OGUN CORPS MEMBER PRODUCES, DONATES HAND WASHING LIQUID SOAPS TO STATE GOVERNMENT’S COVID-19 PROGRAMME
A member of the National Youth Service Corps in Ogun State, Adefisoye Adeshola Joseph with Code Number OG/19B/7322, has personally produced and donated 100 pieces of hand washing liquid soaps to the State Government’s COVID-19 programme.
NYSC PRODUCES SANITIZERS, SOAPS, SENSITISES KWARA COMMUNITIES
The National Youth Service Corps Kwara State Secretariat has produced hand sanitizers and antiseptic liquid soaps as part of its efforts towards curtailing the spread of Corona virus in the State. Corps Members in the State also embarked on sensitization and distribution of the items led by the State Coordinator.

 SENSITISATION BY NYSC CORPS MEMBERS
Patriotic Corps Members educating the nation and sensitizing it’s public on the dangers of COVID-19. A group of Corps Members in Bauchi State embarked on awareness campaign on Corona Virus in Wunti market and Yelwan Lebura Community of Bauchi town. The awareness involved sensitization on how to prevent COVID-19 in both English and Hausa Languages, distribution of hand sanitizers and buckets with taps to provide running water and also demonstration of proper hand washing technique.
LAGOS ENGAGE CORPS MEMBERS IN PALLIATIVE SUPPORT DISTRIBUTION
In a bid to ease the effective distribution of stimulus package to residents of the State, the Lagos State Government in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps, Lagos State Secretariat has engaged Corps Members to participate in the distribution of the items across all the Local Government Areas of the State.
CORPS MEMBERS DONATE ANTI-COVID-19 MATERIALS TO LAGOS STATE GOVERNMENT

COMMENDATIONS
The Federal Government also commended the National Youth Service Corps for contributing to the on-going efforts at containing the spread of COVID-19 through the production of face masks, antiseptic liquid soap and hand sanitizer for public usage.
The Alake of Egbaland, HRM Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has commended the National Youth Service Corps for its efforts in supporting the government in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.
The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji, Dr. Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi, CFR, showered encomiums on the Management of NYSC in the State when the State Coordinator, Malam Nura Umar, Staff and Corps Member presented some anti COVID -19 items made by the Corps Members to him in his palace.
The paramount leader of Doma kingdom in Nasarawa State, the Andoma of Doma, Alhaji (Dr) Ahmadu Aliyu Oga Onawo has expressed satisfaction with the National Youth Service Corps in its fight against COVID-19.
The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has once again commended the National Youth Service Corps, Ogun State Secretariat for the efforts it has been making towards the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, especially in areas of public sensitization, donation of liquid soaps, face masks and sanitizers to the State Government.
Taraba State Governor, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku has commended the efforts of Corps Members in the State in mitigating the spread of the novel COVID-19 disease in the state.
The fight against Corona is still on and everyone is expected to take responsibility. Keep washing those hands, wear the protective face mask, stay home if you don’t have to go out and maintain social distancing when you do. AbexWorld says this too will pass.
